Hey this is my first post. I just bought a 2000 grand am gt v6 3.4L with ram air and I notice that the ram air inlets on the hood are or apear to be blocked. Is this the way its suppose to be or should they be open? I would appreciat any help in this.

Thanx
Deke

Welcome to the forum. Are you talking about the nostrils on the actual hood itself? Or on the front of the fascia (on either side of the pontiac emblem)? The "ram-air" hoods were built non-functional, with close-outs in place. Your real ram air, however, (between the headlights) shouldn't be blocked.

No problem. Yeh it stinks that they're non-functional, but oh well. I was lucky enough to snatch a prototype SC/T hood, with the driverside scoop unblocked, but all the ones since have been blocked.
