I saw a throttle postition sensor for sale on www.pfyc.com for $85, is it worth it? Will it add some power?

The link is-

No. Plain and simple it will not improve HP.

It will increase fuel consumption though.

It is not a TPS. It is a supposed TPS "enhancer". It is complete snake oil. Here's a link dispelling any myths:

I'm begining to think that the people who make the "IAT Super Chip" are the same guys that came up with this gimmick.

In order to develope more power two things need to happen. More air AND more fuel. Just adding one or the other doesn't change anything unless one of these were allready too low. The air fuel mixture has to remain balanced, once it is balanced you have to introduce more fuel and more air together while keeping the ratio balanced which in turn will develope more power. This is why people add bigger fuel injectors and fuel pumps when adding a turbo or supercharger because they begin to introduce so much air that the fuel system can't keep causing the air/fuel ratio to become to lean causing detonation causing engine failure.

Same goes with the IAT mod or this gadget. It fools the computer into thinking you have more air entering the engine (that's what the TPS is for to begin with, a gas pedal isn't a gas pedal, it's actually an air pedal) and by doing this the computer allows more fuel to enter the combustion chambers. This will do nothing but increase fuel consumption due to unburned fuel in the combustion chamber because no extra air has been introduced.

If you look at it from my point of view you will develope less power because you are using more fuel and have not increased the HP.

^^^^^ With Ride and Marc here. It won't help. Better to get a free-flow exhaust or cold air intake, better gain and better use of your $$$.
