just a few quick questions:

how simple is it to replace the starter on a 94 trans sport?

where are the bolts located that hold the starter in place?

can it just be pulled out from underneath?

does it make any sense for me to try this myself cause from what I can tell it looks pretty complicated.

Shouldn't be too difficult for the 3.8L engine From Alldata:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
3. Remove the cover from the starter wiring.
4. Remove the outer nut and wiring from the starter solenoid.
5. Remove the screws retaining the wiring harness clips and position the harness out of the way.
6. Take out the screw that retains the plastic flywheel cover and remove the cover from the vehicle.
7. Remove the bolts retaining the starter to the engine block, and remove the starter from the vehicle.

The 3.1L steps are a little more involved as you have to remove the AC compressor bracket as well as the oil pressure gauge sensor.

I did this on my '94 with a 3800.

Wasn't bad at all. The worse part was that I had to shim it after the first attempt, as it made noises, so I ended up doing it two times. Shims came with the one I bought at autozone.
