should i make the purchase?i_cry_at_night 06-02-2005, 09:13 AM I found a 95 S-10 4cyl (manual) with 65k miles on it. New paint job and interior. they are asking $3300 which i think is very reasonable. what are the ups and downs of this because Ive been hearing that the 4 cyl junk and I should go with a 6 cyl. I have an 89 civic with a couple mods and 70k miles on it right now. should I keep the civic and keep up with the mods or move on to the s-10? please help me out thanks mike1224 06-02-2005, 09:56 AM first thing is: is it regular cab or extended? i have a 2000, reg cab 4cyl. (auto) with 65000mi The truck does ok for me. I average 20-24mpg, all city driving. dmbrisket 51 06-02-2005, 04:28 PM if your looken to go fast, the 4 cyl chevy will never be able to keep up with the 4 in the 89 civic, i own one also... if your just board and looken for somethin new, you can buy the truck and put a 350 in it, and if your just looken for a newer vehical, go for it, look it over good, and hopefully test drive it, notice where the clutch stats engauging and listen for ticks, and look for vapor from the tailpipe, if it doesnt go away, it has a blown head gasket, common with the 2.2l 4 cyl OverBoardProject 06-03-2005, 01:44 AM Take it to a good body shop, and get them to examine the quality of the new paint. If they are covering up any shabby bodywork you might not want the truck vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
