97 Tahoe Rotor questions

Greetings,
Can the rotors of a 97 Tahoe be turned ?? No where near the min thickness but mechanic says he can't turn composite metal rotors.
These are NAPA replacement rotors not GM originals.

While they are cheap enough to replace at $25 to $35 per side the inconveniece of replacing every 12k miles is ticking me off.
Which aftermarket rotors are best i.e. less prone to warping...no need for drilled or slotted(unless they last longer); just everyday family vehicle with no towing or heavy braking required.
Thanks in advance.

ive found it to be cheaper and easier to just buy the new ones. less chance of mechanics' error and not as warped.are oyu doing it yourself? if so, i suggest making sure you get a new set of caliper bolts, seals and the proper grease for them. a shop told me it would cost 45 dollars to turn them. i hope this helped you.
