Flashing Numbers???

i need help! i have an 01 Z24 Cavi. and my miles display twitch/flash randomly...at first it was kinda to the beat of my sub but now its anytime...im confused on what it is??? lemme kno what you think... Does it happen with your system off? Does it still display the correct miles? Besides replacing the whole cluster, I don't have a clue on how to fix it.
