ABS Light

Good morning all...
I have read most of the posts on this problem, but need a little more info. I have a 1992 GA with the Quad Four 2.3 liter engine. The ABS light comes on at random intervals. It will stay off for weeks, then go through a fit of a few days, then go away again. No other lights come on. Battery and alternator test OK.
I can find no info on how to read ABS codes on this year, or where to read them. I have an old scanner that basically shorts out the pins and lets you count flashes. There are no ABS codes listed for this year/model. Am I at the wrong diagnostic connector? It only shows one for this year/model.
I have checked connections at the wheels, etc. What am I missing, besides the $60.00 per hour for diagnostics and $400.00 for service?
PS Autozone won't read codes for this old a vehicle, but will tell you which pins to short out for engine codes....
Thanks

Advanced auto parts sells an abs code reader, saw it the other day when i was wandering around. Also, try some of the smaller shops, if you find one with a scanner most of the newer scanners will read abs codes. Also, look at your wiring where it plugs into the speed sensors on the front wheels, I had to replace both of mine about 4 years ago when the wires rotted in the connectors, and it was causing the same problems you are having. I noticed it most when it was wet out, if I hit a large puddle and shut the car off, if I restarted it within the next half hour or so the light would be off and the abs would work ok. Discovered this when I was christmas shopping.... Good luck.

Success!!!
Thanks to skibum1111. The connectors were corroded and loose. The problem seems to be solved.
Thanks again.
