Removing stereo from '94 Grand Am SE. c0rrupt 05-26-2005, 03:21 PM
Can someone tell me how to remove the stereo out of a '94 Grand Am SE? I took out the top compartment (w/ cup holders). I just can't get the trim infront of the stereo and air/heat controls off. Is it held on with any screws or just clips. I'm afraid of pulling too hard and breaking something. Remove the trim panel under the steering wheel, I don't think I had to take out the metal panel under the plastic. There is a screw to the right of the steering wheel that holds the radio trim panel in. The cup holder does have to come out, open the glove box I think there was a screw or 2 behind the door to that as well. There is a screw at the bottom of the trim panel as well, to get that one out I used a #2 phillips bit from my drill with a 1/4 wrench and its a royal pain in the ass. The center vents come out as well, the trim panel will hit them on the way out. Good luck... Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
