Can someone tell me how to remove the stereo out of a '94 Grand Am SE? I took out the top compartment (w/ cup holders). I just can't get the trim infront of the stereo and air/heat controls off. Is it held on with any screws or just clips. I'm afraid of pulling too hard and breaking something.

Generally, screws, but there are a couple clips that hold the outer trim plate on, the rest is just a few screws to take out.

Here is how it came apart on my 95... Remove the trim panel under the steering wheel, I don't think I had to take out the metal panel under the plastic. There is a screw to the right of the steering wheel that holds the radio trim panel in. The cup holder does have to come out, open the glove box I think there was a screw or 2 behind the door to that as well. There is a screw at the bottom of the trim panel as well, to get that one out I used a #2 phillips bit from my drill with a 1/4 wrench and its a royal pain in the ass. The center vents come out as well, the trim panel will hit them on the way out. Good luck...
