Obvious question for youaaronh2005 05-25-2005, 07:58 PM I have a buddy at work and we are debating about this. I was also taught that the Rx7s all came turbo. He told me that some Fd vins came FWD and NA. Is this true??? Thank you, Aaron drftk1d 05-25-2005, 09:11 PM well he's wrong. in the US only the 87-91 Turbo II was turbocharged, and all of the FD3S were twin turbo. Mazda has never made a FWD rotary powered vehicle. NuTbAgSaN 05-25-2005, 10:06 PM not true!! cant remember the name of the car, but it used the 13A motor, and was ff...i read about it, think there were very few built...and yeah all 93-02 are tt. aaronh2005 05-26-2005, 01:35 AM Well other than a complete RETARD engine mod, is it possible for any Rx7s to be NA? I told him that some supras were NA, but no Rx7s. drftk1d 05-26-2005, 10:47 AM in the USA: 79-85 RX7 (SA/FB)were ALL n/a (in japan there were turbo 12a's) 86-91 RX7 (FC): all n/a EXCEPT the TURBO II model (in japan there were several trims of turbo RX-7, they even had turbo convertables). 93-95 (FD) RX7: all twin turbo. i belive that 13a car was only produced in the late 60's early 70's (my fault). there was also a fwd rotary car from french manufacturer Citroen. aaronh2005 05-26-2005, 10:53 AM Damn dude-thanks for the research! Guess I was wrong!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
