changing rear leafs, lookin for the procedure?phat97yukon 05-25-2005, 03:51 AM So i picked my self up a set of new leafs for my yukon today, go to put em in, and came across a lil snag to do it... just wondering what the deal is with the bolts at the front of the leafs, do i have to drop my gas tank to get the damn bolt out , from what ive heard ya dont have to , but we couldnt figure out how else you would snake it outta there... info on this would be great, i would really like to get these in tommorrow night... what is with GM and stupid bolt set ups.. even doin my shocks i had a problem with the rear left shock bolt cuz the sway bar was in the way... :screwy: 84fiero123 05-25-2005, 10:04 AM manual doesnt say anything about droping gas tank but then i havent looked underneath yet, after breakfast i will look at my 94 burb, and get nack to you , but if thae tank is in the way of removing the bolt try just droping it a few inches, dont take straps and tank out entirely, like i said get back to you after brekfast. 84fiero123 05-25-2005, 10:41 AM the thing is made to be put together not taken apart, but i see now problem from my truck or the manual, good luck. goinbig 05-26-2005, 02:19 PM Would it be possible to just slide the bolt over, take out the springs, and slide it back into the new ones...without ever having to take the bolt out completely? On mine, there appears to be enough room to do that Good luck if you want to take it completely out though! phat97yukon 05-26-2005, 02:41 PM Would it be possible to just slide the bolt over, take out the springs, and slide it back into the new ones...without ever having to take the bolt out completely?
