My 99 Intrepid just died, pulled into the driveway turned it off, nothing strange, the next time I went to start it nothing. No click, no dash lights, no radio, no dome lights nothing, everything seems dead. Checked battery 12+ v, checked fuses everything is OK. The only indicator that lights on the dash is the temp idiot light. One strange thing I noticed is that when I put the key into the ignition I hear rapid clicking tick-tick-tick pull the key out and it stops. Turning the key does nothing. Noticed if I press on the trip odometer reset with the key in the ignition the dash lights up and pulses in time with the clicking. Any ideas?

Check and or clean the battery connections, look for loose body grounds, see if you can get trouble codes out of it for clues, might even be the ignition switch went. Twisting the key and no signs of life can happen for a few different reasons. The "ticking" noise just by inserting the key? That may scare me a little!
