rodeo won't turn over robinp 05-24-2005, 11:43 AM
awhile back i was driving my 1994 rodeo and it seemed to be running alittle warm, so i turned off the ac and it seemed to cool back down but with the windows open i heard this noise that sounded like a belt had broke and was flapping. so i pulled over, as i pulled over it started to lose power and once i stopped it just died. i had a wrecker pick it up and bring it home. after a few days of sitting there i changed the oil in it and put new water in it but it wouldn't start. thought maybe it jumped time but the timing belt is still intact. the pistons and rods move, it gets fire, but it just won't turn over. any ideas or suggestions and what are the timing marks for the 1994 isuzu rodeo it acts like it wants to start but it just won't turn over amigo-2k 05-24-2005, 01:15 PM I would go with your jumping timing theroy. that slapping sound could of been the timing belt tensor (which commonly go bad). robinp 05-24-2005, 02:01 PM any advice on getting it back in time easily do you go by the hash marks or the little dimples Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
