laguna starter motor earth lead

My laguna rn 95 tries to turn over but there is not enough power to get it started. The battery is fine but i've been informed it may be the starter motor earth lead. can anyone tell me where i can locate it to check. quango

I doubt the motor itself has an earth lead as it will use the motor casing and the engine block as an earth. You should fins a braided earth cable somewhere that connects the engine block to the chassis. As a newbie I am not yet familiar with the Laguna layout I dont know where this will be!

You will find the starter motor near to the gearbox at the flywheel end.
