i have a 97 gst with hks hi power exhaust wit apexi 3 in d.p and an intake, and also a greddy type s bov, i want to upgrade my turbo next, i no you need a new fuel pump and 550 to 650 injectors to run it and sometimes an adapter kit for oil return lines and gaskets and all that, but im asking for my daily driver what should i go with?16g? im not sure also i wanted to know the diff between my stock turbo (t-25) and a gen 1 stock turbo (14b) and if you could give me a list of supporting mods you think i should get your opnion im not stupid i no what to get just some opnions and some web sites with good turbos thanks guys......

welcome. before a mod asks, go ahead and stick your current mods in your signiture box so you wont have to relist them whenever you have questions.

popular supporting mods for larger turbos include

upgraded rewired fuel pump: walbro 190, 255. 255's require AFPR w/return lines becasue they will over run the stock fpr. Aeromotive afpr are probably the most common that i have seen for our cars.

larger injectors will require a air/fuel device. there are plenty to choose from. you can use a gm maft, safc1 or 2, vpc, dsmlink, exc. Dsmlink has been accepted as the best bang for the buck because it dosent intercept maf signals like conventual piggy back systems and offers a boatload on controls and realtime ecu logging.

with your current mods, you've taken care of the airflow restrictions. there is lots to talk about, but to help you to decide what is best for you, what are your goal for your streetable car? what kind of $ are you planning on throwing down?

I have never heard of replacing all that just for a turbo upgrade unless you plan on pushing more than 15 psi. Maybe the 2g's are different though? You said it's your daily driver right? Deffinetely get the 14b or 16g and set your mbc to 12 lbs. and that'll be a beautiful daily driver for ya!

Yeah, you're right. I should have said ...

"...unless you plan on pushing more than 15 psi SAFELY..."

Then again, I think i just might be pushing 17 psi :)
