noisy doorsmrstg65 05-17-2005, 07:16 PM I have a 93 Cutlass Ciera with 196,000 miles on it. The car still runs quite well but lately I notice a creaking sound that seems to be coming from the doorjams when I pull away from a light or just step on the gas. I have never had this problem with a GM car before. It seems to be happening on both sides. If you close all four doors hard it seems to solve the problem temporarily but it always returns. I realize this may seem minor compared to some of the other posts in this forum, but it is really annoying. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.. I already lubed the hinges. What type/brand of silicone would help the doorseals?? Chris Stewart 05-19-2005, 09:58 AM I use Turtle Wax's stuff. Another thing to lube with grease is the striker...the pin doodad that sticks out and holds the door closed. mrstg65 05-20-2005, 03:01 PM Thanks again greasing the strikers seems to have solved it. Funny how both doors started doing this at the same time. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
