Wide tires?markpa 04-12-2002, 11:42 AM Ive got a quick question, i was crusing yesterday and i saw an si civc 1993(i think it was that year) with wheels that looked like they where wider, and they were sticking out a bit on the side, the thing is he didnt have any rims just stock, so how is this possible? dome 04-12-2002, 12:40 PM I don't know, but my guess is that he had wheel spacers. Companies like H&R make them. I think the go between the hub(is that the right word) and the wheel to push it out. markpa 04-12-2002, 03:08 PM thanks ill check that out sparq 04-12-2002, 05:25 PM Originally posted by markpa thanks ill check that out GROSSSSSS WHY? markpa 04-12-2002, 11:36 PM well first off wider is better, second of i like the way it looks. sparq 04-12-2002, 11:58 PM Why would you want to look like you have reverse offset rims? Si2000 Vtec 04-13-2002, 01:01 AM Actually, wheel spacers are tight sparkie, so if you'd please just sit there in your little computer chair and keep your mouth shut, that'd be great... I have 4" spacers on my car and it drives so much better. So anyway, yeah, look into those and pick up a pair... I like mine a lot... Moreover, if you do add spacers w/ stock rims, that will set your original offset off which may affect your alignment. Second, it is possible to fit a wider tire onto any rim but, you cannot exceed over a centimeter because it will cause uneven tire wear. That said, I was originally going to go w/ a wider set of tires on my stocks but, considering that I was going to get rims this month and the fact that I might need my stocks for winter I didn't. In snowy conditions, narrow tires work best. sparq 04-13-2002, 08:50 PM Originally posted by xivera In snowy conditions, narrow tires work best. Ahhhhh dont talk about snow, GROSS! Glad I wont be here for next winter and then no winters after that hopefully! :finger: CivSiGuy 04-13-2002, 09:15 PM I don't have time for this back and forth bickering and name calling. take his comments seriously: Originally posted by pvang31019 If anybody wants a forum that has grown up people, come over to www.honda-tech.com There is real tech Q&A there vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
