what symptoms would result from a vacuume leak from diaphram in the brake booster? anything to do with a weird ass idle?

mmaaayyybbeee......but i think it would have more effect on the brakes than the idle of the car. now if it was just a plain vacuum hose or something, that might have something to do with the idle.
