do you have to remove your front fender for a aem cai/00 civic?rendog24 04-11-2002, 09:57 PM i am about to purchase a aem cai on friday and i want to know if you have to remove your bumper or either front fender? cuz i seen instructions where you have to remove both your bumper and fender???????????:bloated: i have a 00 civic coupe so any help with the question above and any other advice on installation is welcome like time for install etc. :smoka: JuMBoBeaTS 04-11-2002, 10:31 PM naw... u dun hafta remove your bumper... but i think it makes it shitloads easier... it makes it easier to remove the resonator... i did mine with out removing the bumper... i just jacked up the front passenger side ( make sure to put bricks behind your rear wheels and lift the E-brake all the way up till u cant move it up ne more... when i did this... my car moved a lil cuz my E-brake wasnt all the way up... but we caught the car... thank god...) then remove the wheel... remove the mudguard in the wheelwell... be careful removing the mudguards... they are just held on by plastic fasteners and they are easy to break... i know... i broke one... hahhaa... ( i saw at the honda dealership that they even have a special tool to remove it soo be careful) and keep a bottle of wd40 around... makes those hard-to-remove bolts come out quicker... have fun wid tha CAI... oh man.. its great... dreemkill 04-11-2002, 10:55 PM aN aem cai. if a word beginning with a vowel comes after 'a', you use 'aN'. just a tip. oh, and easy on the question marks. there's not enough to go around.
