Want to sawp my NEW dakota v6.... info on compatible engines...RustyS10 05-15-2005, 12:05 AM Hey, I have a 2004 dakota 4x4 5sp with a v6 and it gets very poor mileage and power for what I would expect from such a gas guzzler (15mpg). I am interested in swapping it with a toyota v6 or v8 engine, but i dont know if it is possible dimension/ connnection wise. Does anyone know where to look for this info, or have any reccomendations on other engines that I could swap with more power/ mileage? ANY info would be apprieciated, please email me at farmhand82@yahoo.com if ya have any info. Thanks. -Nick BleedDodge 05-15-2005, 12:17 AM For what it's worth you might as well just trade the entire truck for a Toyota. FinFan13 07-11-2005, 09:15 PM How much would something like that cost? BleedDodge 07-11-2005, 10:18 PM Your local Toyota dealer could tell you. I'm serious. FinFan13 07-11-2005, 11:29 PM hmm..do you know how much it would cost for instalation and purchase of a dodge dakota v-8? theFREAKnasty82 07-13-2005, 11:52 PM your looking at around $4000 for a swap to a 3.7 V6 to a 4.7 V8. For that extra money, you should do as Bleed said, just trade it in for another truck. 89dak2360 08-03-2005, 11:03 PM Magnum 360 v8's are almost a bolt swap. You can find them on Car-Parts.com for less than $1000. All of the parts are available in wrecking yards. 89dak2360 08-03-2005, 11:05 PM hmm..do you know how much it would cost for instalation and purchase of a dodge dakota v-8?
