AC acting strange?

I have a 99 venture, yes gaskets already replaced. My problem is the AC, last summer the AC would blow cold air through all vents accept the two vents on each side of me the driver. Even the center three vents seemed to blow warm air though the driver side one and cool from the other two. I tried to fire up the AC today and nothing, I get no cool air at all and the engine load doesn't change making me think the compressor is not coming on. I checked the fuse it is ok. I tried to add R-134a at the end of summer last year but the gauge said it was full already. Any ideas?

I don't know if it is the same as my 2001 van, but I have had a similar problem, except that my A/C had been recently serviced. The relay that control the A/C clutch was/is going.
