I replaced my blown 3.3L and the replacement motor was fresh out of the salvage yard, they weren't very nice to the wiring harness of course.
Considering our timeline at the moment we cut the existing harness also. Well I ended up having to peice them together and the car ran, but it was sitting all winter. I just started driving it last week, and realized that the fans weren't turning on at all. So we checked them and they worked, so we hooked them up to a toggle switch. Well this past thursday I noticed the engine was starting to get hot so I flicked the switch while driving and the car stalled out and wouldn't start. I went to have it towed to my house today and it fired right up. So I drove it home without having to use the toggle switch, I turned the car off pondered for a while then tryed to start it again and it wouldn't start so we checked for spark and there wasn't any. So I took out the harness and there were two wires that were still connected but showing lots of bare wire, should I get a new harness because apparently I screwed up somewhere or do you think it could be something else.

I would really appreciate some help.
Sincerely,
Brett.W

if you have bare copper showing on the wires themselves, my suggestion would be to put some electrical tape over those wires. From what you're describing sounds like you popped a fuse or circuit breaker. Check under your hood for your power distribution center and make sure all your fuses are intact.
