So far I haven't seen any mention of commercial usage
of the Xb. Now that NO ONE any longer makes a small pickup like
we used for years for deliveries, the Xb is a natural.
We put one on the road and so far it's been great.

I'm sure other light deliveries, couriers and such must
be considering an Xb.

Anyone see any used commerically?

I actualy am wondering the same, but they need a V-6 and some better luggage capascity for a trailer and beefier suspention if they want to do that. For a "courier" service it would be good, but I think the limited stoage area is the real drawback. If they aded another 10 inches to teh vehicle, I'd buy one in a second.. Kinda like an EXT version.

There are a few used around here. I see them being used to deliver parts for either dealerships or small shops. I have seen some used from a real estate company also.

thats where I see the most xBs or was for a long time, banks, real estate angencies, travel angencies and what not, every bank around here owns atleast a fleet of xB's (20+) the hospitols even replaced all their old crusty ford focus wagons for xb's(one hospitol has about 75 Xb's) they all buy white xb's then cover them with decals so its not like they taking away a decent color like silver blue or green

A small taxi company in the Boston area is using them as the only vehicles in the fleet.

They have the passenger space, but trunk space?...NO way. If you pick up 2-3 people with luggage, your stuck wondering where the bags will go.

There is an Electronics company in my town that has 3 xbs for their service vehicles. Have also seen a few others used for business. All are white with business logos on them.

In the Central IL area, there is a taxi company that currently has two Xb's in their fleet.

Also, a different company uses an Xb for their employee that does inspections of fire systems.

Finally took a long road trip in ours from Savannah, GA to Asheville, NC running 75 to 85 on the Interstate and got average 29.6 MPG. Toured the Blue Ridge Pkwy up and down mountains and back mountain roads and got a phenomonial 26.4 MPG. Has around 7.5K mi on it and steady gets 25 MPG in town. On the entire trip we only saw 4 other xB's and I see one occasionaly here. We had Marquis and Lincolns and I must say the xB is a real winner on the Interstate rides so good and couldn't ask for a beter driving vehicle. I like sitting up so we can see everything touring in the mountains and we had more than enough room for lots of baggage in the back and our doggie loves the back seat. Suggest putting a sheet over the seat because that type fabric is hard to vacuum out dog hair.

We went to Augusta, Ga to visit friends and one of the guys lives in Atlanta and says you see a whole lot of them around Atlanta seems to be the new Yuppie vehicle. The longer we have it the more we like it and, for what it cost, it is one of the nciest vehicles we ever owned.

I don't believe they will take a trailer hitch and it would be nice if they could pull a light one. The Toyota Corolla can be hitched and about the same HP as the xB. Ford Focus can be hitched and a lot of other small cars. Some air cond company here uses Honda Elements for service vehicles.

They may not "take" a hitch by the book, but I got a very nice one on line for about $140.00 that uses 6 factory holes in the "frame". Pulls as good as any Camry..

:bananasmi WELL GLORY BE AND SHOUT BAMA-LAMA! It appears our old friend Nissan has wised up and cloned the xB and called it a CUBE. Check it out.
Soon as I see one at the Nissan place I'm going to pull our xB along side and do a toe to toe comparison. http://www.nissanusa.com/cube/?dcp=ppn.28434549.&dcc=0.205796030#/en/home/

I must say, the descriptive adjective name - "CUBE" - says it all . . . . .
But the pot can't call a kettle black and our xB's are pretty cubey & boxey to. :smokin: And, I might add, . . . very, very cool to.

By the way, xB's are becoming more popular because Toyota dealer said they get one on trade and it lasts a maximum of two days a'fore it's sold. They have a loan pool for service dept call them TRAC vehicles and thay can be had at a right price when they put them up for sale.
