Sorry guys but i didnt know anywheer else to post this but im a new driver 18 yrs of age and im having a huge difficulty driving the Suv my fathers tahoe. The only car that i have been able to drive the way I want to has been the instructors car that i got my lessons on, a honda two door, it was so small. Basically i have trouble using the mirror's in just about any car, even if i glance at them i cant realli tell if there is enough room or not to change lanes, then the judgement the car is so damn wide and i cant tell if im gonna hit anything or not when i driving so close cuz u just cant tell. Then when im reversing the car it looks like I have no space at all and there is like 5 feet left.

Driving in those streets ur playing with inches and its hard to tell where u car will fit and wont, i cant realli judge distance at all with this car.

Is there any tips or adivce you guys can give me, any websites that deal with this issue thax

Hi KK My name is Terri ( vixen2383) and I am a 32 yr. old female. I just want to say that maybe you are trying to hard relax, take your time, and set your mirrors to fit you. your mirrors are your friend not your enemy. Go slow get the feel of things before you know it you will laugh at this I am very lucky I took right up with driving everything from car, truck, fire truck even a caterpillar 740 or dump truck but always remember that those mirrors like I said are your friend and if you practice and dont try so hard I feel you will be fine just dont think about it just watch your mirrors try having your dad spot you from behind find something in your mirror and use it to guide you good luck.

As far as the backing-up issue goes, an extend-a-hitch works well for letting you know when you've backed up too far--if you feel a small bump or hear crunching noises, the space was obviously too small so you'll want to pull out and find another parking space.
