Ok, you guys that put bigger tires on your trucks...what are you doing about your speedometer calibration? :confused: When I asked my buddy at the dealer he said he could recalibrate the ABS and shift points through the ALDL with a Tech II, but not change the speedometer calibration.

I see in these ads for various power programmers that you can use them to recaibrate the speedometer with them. However, I don't want to dump three hundred bucks to speed my speedometer back up the 8% or whatever it may be off.

I haven't bothered messing with it since I rarely go the speed limit anyway.. :evillol: ..I like to set the pace...lol :evillol:

I think the Hypertech makes a module that is specifically for recalibrating the speedo. The power programmer does it to, but costs a lot more. try stylinconcepts.com

A while back, before Hypertech programmers became so popular, I had a friend with a '96 Tahoe with 36 in tires on it. He took it to a place called United Speedometer in Houston. They made some sort of custom converter for it or something. I think the programmer is the most effective way though. Superlift makes a converter that you adjust too.
