95 M/T Speed sensor wiring

While helping my son change the clutch in his 95 Jetta 2.0L W/5speed M/T we inadvertantly missed the vehicle speed sensor connector, and pulled out all three wires. Went to the boneyard and got another connector, but when we tried to splice it together the colors were different. I have researched the internet, chiltons vague diagram, and also the russian website that I found on this message board and still no definite answer. I looked at 1990 to 1998 diagrams and still no matching colors. These are the colors on the car=white/blue stripe, black/white stripe, orange or brown/white stripe. All the bone yard cars have these colors red to pin #1, green to pin #2, black to pin #3. I put a voltmeter to the wires and get 1.8, 8,12 on the wires. If anybody would have info. or point me in a direction it would be greatly apperciated. My first post here, because all my other questions have been answered on other posts. Learning about VW the hard way, stupid 12 point bolts on the cv joints!!
Thanks to all in advance..

Buy a manual from Bentley Publishers. They 100 times better than Chilton/Haynes, and would have the wiring diagram that you need.
