Ferrari 288GTO - Fujimi Enthusiast Kitmach1_2003 04-27-2005, 09:21 PM With the announced re-release of the Fujimi 288GTO and since I've never posted this model on here before I thought now is as good a time as any. So here is my build of this - much wanted by many - kit. I built this several years ago and must say it's still one of my favorites today. I would build it again..... hmmm, maybe I need to build a yellow version.... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/justdande/000_1606.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/justdande/000_1605.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/justdande/000_1604.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/justdande/000_1601.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/justdande/000_1610.jpg ZoomZoomMX-5 04-27-2005, 10:04 PM Sweet. It's fun digging through the archives, isn't it? :sunglasse There will be a fever pitch of builders getting these done when it finally gets reissued. Jaymes 04-27-2005, 10:17 PM cool build, beautiful car! :sunglasse blubaja 04-27-2005, 10:57 PM Hey, Great build man! Is the the same exact tool as the 1/16 scale one? I have a 1/16 scale swb version by fujimi. The parts are nice, but aren't really detailed. Like, they would look better scaled down, as in 1/24th scale. Keep up the great work! Frank X. Ansel Marrow 04-27-2005, 11:05 PM No doubt, this is my favorite ferarri ever. Even as a kid, I told myself that no ferarri could look as cool as the GTO. Excellent build. Gorgeous. mike united 04-28-2005, 01:13 AM Very sweet build........ Mike :) robrex 04-28-2005, 01:41 AM Nice! I've still got mine in the to do pile! GvEman 04-28-2005, 01:52 AM Very beautifull car! More pics of the engine please ;) Wheelin75r 04-28-2005, 02:19 AM Nice paintjob!! :bigthumb: godfather23 04-28-2005, 04:30 AM Great build. In my eyes the most beautiful car ever constructed on the planet! Make a yellow version! Yellow looks awesome on Ferraris! bimbachetuning 04-28-2005, 05:39 AM Incredible job, very realistic!!!! ol' dude 04-28-2005, 07:29 AM Da-yum, that is awesome Eric!! Great build!!!! mach1_2003 04-28-2005, 07:46 AM Thanks everybody for the compliments. Zoom- yeah, the archives are great. I need to take some new pics of some of my muscle cars and post them here. Frank x- I'm pretty sure this is the same kit as the 1/16th scale version. Although if I'm not mistaken the 1/16th kit has opening doors and this 1/24th doesn't. I have the 1/16th also and I think they're almost identical. GvEman- I'll try to get more engine pics but the rear hatch is not removeable on the model and the engine tucks up inside the car so far you can't see most of it. But I will tell you that as some people will say- the engine is a model in itself. IIRC, it had close to 90 pieces making up the engine and rear suspension alone, including all the intake and exhaust parts. I really think I would like to build another one of these some day. This one was built maybe 10 years ago and when I look at the model and the pics I can see things (mistakes) that I would do differently and better today. 360spider 04-28-2005, 08:23 AM Great model, I need to build one of these. I still have the yellow version in shrinkwrap! MPWR 04-28-2005, 08:34 AM Oooo, yeah! Terrific looking build, gorgeous car! :smokin: Go mine on order, cannot wait to do the engine. Are those the kit wheels? They look fine to me- I've heard so often that they're the one major problem with this kit. C'mon, Fujimi, don't string us along, I want to see this one for real! tonioseven 04-28-2005, 08:52 AM Beautiful!:sunglasse ZoomZoomMX-5 04-28-2005, 10:49 AM Cool. Did you just build it?
