Im thinking its a 36. But heres a website of a gguy who did the swap. You can tell what rear end you have by the brace supports. http://joby.se/corvette/mods//2001-0X11_diff/ tbrew01 05-17-2005, 12:15 PM Theres probably an RPO code for it. Im thinking its a 36. Bob86ZZ4 05-25-2005, 05:58 PM All the auto C4's came with the Dana 36. All manual C4's came with the D44. It is very simple to convert from a D36 to a D4 so somebody could have swapped out yours before you got the car. Here's a picture of the back of a d44 with the case bolts circled. The d36 has a different bolt pattern from the d36. If you have a auto car look very closely at the back of the diff and see if your bolt pattern matches this. I put the d44 in my car and it wasn't hard at all. Cost me $1000 for a used d44 tho. http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c5/bob86zz4//DSCDAN~1BOLTS.JPG vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
