i have a 94 jeep grand cherokee laredo when i put it in four wheel drive part time everything is fine...but when i try to put it it full time it goes really hard and makes a terrible grinding noise going both in and out of it.,....any help....thanks

are you moving when placing in 4WD?

Try coming to a complete stop, place tranny in NUETRAL, then place transfer case in 4WD Full Time.

my owners manual says to slow to about 2 mph (about to a crawl) and shift tranny to n then switch the tc to 4wd

mine says the same thing. I find it easier to come to a complete stop.
