Interchangability of Speedometer (i.e., Custer) Assemblies for 2000 Intrepids

I have a 2000 CHRYSLER INTREPID - 2.7, standard auto, A/C, PS, PW, E/Mirrors, power drivers seat, Remote Keyless entry are the major options

I need a new Speedometer assembly. I call the whole assembly a "CLUSTER" It contains the tach, speedo, fuel guage and temp guage as well as all the idiot lights (i.e., for the ABS airbag , check engine etc.).

Anyone tell me about the interchangability of the clusters is for a 2000. That is, WHAT YEAR WILL WORK IN WHAT YEAR. and what is the impact of options??? I need one for a 2000 as discussed above.

Are there any commonality in these clusters???? year to year????

Are there any known "for sure" incompatibilities by year or option. That is, are there any for sure incompatibilities.

They all look the same to me for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 at least.

Does the engine and transmission dictate what cluster must be used????

Do any other options combined with the engine and transmission dictate what cluster must be used??

Any feedback would help. Part numbers would be a real assest.

Thanks

John Corvette.

you can use any instrument cluster from 1998 to 2004 and it will work just fine
