The ABS light on my 1999 Expedition comes on sometimes. Once it comes on it will stay on until I turn the key off. This is 2 wheel drive. Could this be a bad speed sensor? I just had the front rotors turned a few weeks ago. About a week later the light started to come on.

There is a code stored in the ABS control module. Have the code read and post back. You need a scan tool that is capable of reading the ABS. More than likely it is a sensor, but there are 4 of them. Need to know the trouble code to aid you more.

I have a 99 expedition as well the part was the rear wheel sensor. cost is appx $20. It is mounted on the rear pumpkin and one bold secures it. Took me about 15 minutes to replace.
