Fans Not Kicking on...

After having my van in the shop today and them spending hours checking out electrical they have determined nothing except that everything seems fine. My fans are not kicking on when the engine temp starts to rise (in traffic, etc.) They checked engine temp when the guage went past half and it was about 210 and no fans. They manually heated up the sensor all the way to hot with the key on but engine not running and again the fans didn't kick on. They also hooked it up to tech 2 and manually started and stopped fans with no problem but for some reason the computer is not telling the fans to kick in when the engine gets hot. They have replaced the thermostat and the coolant sensor and both are operating fine but for some reason the pcm is not signaling the fans to start. Any suggestions because they are out of them... They told me to just drive it with the A/C on or Defrost...

You're somewhat lucky, mine will not even turn the fans on when the AC is on. But the lowspeed setting works, ie the setting between 210 and 230 degrees. But if it gets warmer than 230, they dont accelerate. And all my relays are good.. Im at a loss...

I changed the temp sensor.
$20 and 20 minutes. No need to drain the system. Just change it quick.
Worked for me. A cheap try for you.

The temp sensor was already changed.
