k&n air intake question

i am planning on buying a k&n air intake for my 01 gc and i was wondering do u have to oil the filter before you use it because i had to oil my filter on my 4wheeler before i put it on

new k&n's come pre-oiled.

alright thanks, now it leaves me with the question buy new speakers or get k&n intake leave some replys on what you would do

Intake, you won't use the new speakers anyways once you get the intake, the sound of the intake gasping is music to the ears, you would be listening to it all day (on V8's anyways, I don't knwo what it sounds like on the I6).....lol

I'm a car audio man, but I agree with dksob81. I love the sound I get from my K&N Filter. You can always get speakers after that.

Sound (stereo) is irrelevant to the function of a vehicle. Add to that the rising cost of fuel and that the K&N intake will help increace the efficency of your jeep's ( as long as you dont drive for the sound of the intake, >eg<, Like I do) engine. Go for the intake first and add the speakers later, but bear in mind, any enclosures not mounted down are going to go bouncing aroundd when the mood hits to hear that intake whine.
