I've got a 1994JGC Limited w/ 5.2l V8. Trying to sell it, but suddenly having transmission problems. It has a new transmission as of 2002. Currently, it will occasionally stall when you first try to back out of a parking space when it's sat for a while. Other times, it will stall when you go from backing out to forward gear. Aside from those select times, which only happen when it's first started after sitting over night, it runs great. Only once has it slipped when shifting. It has full fluid. Any ideas anyone?

The cheapest thing to do is to change the fluid and filter in the Trans. If you have access to a Scan Tool see if there are any codes set by the trans.You will have to access the Diagnost port under the front of the console.

Could be the torque converter is locking. This could be a bad switch or converter. Did you replace the converter with the trans?
