today i drop my mom of at work on my way back home i noticed that when i came to a complete stop the oil light would start flickering. i checked the dipstick oil level was at the bottom hole. The car is not burning oil or dripping from under the car i dont know whats wrong

could be a bad oil pressure sensor. or maybe a bad oil pump. you would have to hook up a oil pressure gauge to see if your oil pump is bad. now you said flickering...are these steady flashes or loss of power flickering. i ask this b/c i've also seen it flicker (loss of power) b/c of a bad ignition switch. when you see it happen, try wiggling the key. if the light goes away while you're wiggling the key...then you may have a faulty ignition switch. if it's a steady flashing...then that means your car lost pressure momentarily. if your not familiar w/ your vehicle...i would have a mechanic check it out. good luck.

shiiiit my car has been doing this for a couple weeks now. I dont know about the whole key being in the ignition thing b/c i can take my key out while my car is running no problem......?? But it starts to flicker after i have been driving on the interstate for 10-20+min and the car is warmed up, and it doesnt come on till i come to a stop. Occasionally it will start to flash when accelerating but typically it cuts off when i accelerate, but its a def flicker n not a flash, it looks like the light is just barely lighting up n is flickering......???

yea the light barely comes on when it flickers it goes away during acceleration. This happens when at a complete stop

Sounds a LOT like a bad oil pump (or engine wear).

might be a bad oil pump there is also a clicking sound from under the car i think the something is loose like the cat convertor or something

something else is wrong now everytime i make a turn and push the clutch down the car shuts off after its warm up and at 1500rpms the roms drop fast back down to idle
