Yes, becasue with just liability, if you hit some one and destoyed your car, you would have to pay off a loan for a car that is totaled... and that blows.. trust me..

Most banks require it... just look around and see what you can dig up

I think it would depend on credit and collateral, but I'm not sure. Scotsee knows a bit about this stuff, might want to try searching for some of his posts about this topic.

I have never seen or heard of a bank that didn't require full coverage on a vehicle that they "technically own". Most banks even stipulate a $500 deductable.

you can get a personal loan, the intrest is higher but you can save with just the liability.

We are not your bank. Ask them.

That's a question only the bank can answer for you. We have no idea what you have in the way of credit rating, debt/income ratio, income, rent, etc. You need to talk to the bank about that one.

I really wouldn't recommend a personal loan for a vehicle. You will end up getting wacked for a much higher interest rate. The bank will only have your good word that you are going to pay back the load, instead of being able to repo the vehicle if you default. Also, you may end up paying the same in extra interest with a personal loan as you would paying for full coverage. Did you talk to the insurance company and find out how much more it is going to cost you?
