I just put 22" rims on my '02 Expo with 305 45 22 tires. The problem is the tires rub on the chin spoiler when I make sharp turns. My question is will a 40 series tire stop the rubbing? I didn't really want 35 series tires. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a '98 Expedition with 22s with 305 40 22 that dont rub, obviously the different body may have something to do with this but they dont rub.

I just found out that because I have spacers (adapters) it's causing the rubbing. The 22's came off of a Tahoe. I gotta sell them and get the proper wheels that will fit. I've heard from a few shops that it's not safe to put adapters on your ride. I just wish the shop that I got the adapters from would have informed me before I bought the rims and tires from my friend.
