Ok! this forum is great. Now, I'm not a expert or nothing. Ive owned jeeps all my life. I sold them for 5 yrs. What knowlege Ive acquired from this and everything I can find on net says That If a 231 tc comes from a grand with an auto it will have a 23 tooth medium length input shaft. This same shaft is in all 242 and 249 tc. According to one chart i found "ALL GRAND CHEROKEES HAVE THE SAME INPUT." Can someone please clear this up once and for all. I have a 95 limited. I am swaping the quadra for command. I have not removed the 249 yet due to mods I am going to make to the 231. The 231 has a med 23 input. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who would like to settle this. Thanks guys! Maybe I should just keep the quadra and buy another jeep with 231 in it already for mods and off road.
