99 Grand am SE v6 misfires and SES light stays on prettyd 04-20-2005, 08:36 PM
I have a 99 Grand am SE that has had a problem for 6 months now, I am now sick of it and am ready to spend the $ to get it fixed. When i start my car in the cold its fine or after a few hours of being off. But when i start it hot or a hour or less after using it, it will start and shut right off. I have to keep my foot on the accelerator to keep it running and put it in to gear quick. ive had a new water pump, spark plugs and wires, a new intake manifold gasket all put on. All fluids flushed also. has 135,000 miles on it service engine soon light stays on also but it just came out of the garage? any idea? on any of this? thanks. Ridenour 04-20-2005, 09:21 PM I'm with Mr. Lous on the fuel delivery idea - possibly fuel pump prettyd 04-20-2005, 09:50 PM How much you think that would cost me? and also in the past 2 weeks i have actually had it stall on me when i stop at a red light like 5 minutes after i drive it. starts back up fine. i checked the engine all i could find was the negative on the battery was loose.. is that the prob? or is it the fuel?
