Sprint Springs or not?iansw 07-09-2001, 10:17 PM I'm looking into springs. I'm going to keep the alloy 5-star 16" rims that come with my 4th Gen.... What Rims should I use?? I want a decent drop amount without destroying the ride completely. How stiff are sprints? How much of a difference visually is there between the Eibachs and Sprints and stcok??? What to do...What to do??? Thanks! iansw 07-09-2001, 10:18 PM Darn...I meant above "What SPRINGS should I use" Typing one thing and thinking another...sorry. Cyko 07-11-2001, 10:16 PM Well, there is a big diffrence between everyone of the springs you've mentionned. 2 inch drop --- eeeeerrrrrrrr , DON'T even try, shox will need replacement after 5 000 miles (if they're stocks), plus tires get used much faster, need more alignments and chamber ajustements. 1.5 inch drop --- better then 2 , better comfort, but still stiff. H&R 1.4 inch drop is what you're looking for amigo:bandit: You keep the comphy ride but the handling is much better (then stock) It doesnt require any extra chamber ajustement kits, less $$$ to spend. I don't really know much about the shox because I still ride on the stocks. I'll do a little research later this year, when my stock shox will need replacement. Peace out. WiSh4SticK 07-12-2001, 07:47 AM my friend got sprint springs for his civic and as those things settles his car dropped like crazy...i dunno if maximas and civic springs make differences but just that they're from the same company, so i dunno...friend didn't like how his tires kept hitting his fenders, he couldn't make sharp turns and the ride was bumpy... iansw 07-12-2001, 09:34 AM The Civic is significantly lower in the first place (stock) than the Maxima. Look at a stock Civic sometime and compare...it's like a 1.5" difference between the two cars stock. That's probably why your friend has a problem with them......It would be about the same as lowering a MAX 3.5" or so. IanS Nizmolee 07-13-2001, 12:43 PM Sprints ride fine on my 98 maxima. I got the camber bolts adjusted. go get the car aligned. I know other eibachs do not give the car a much drop look. The maxima is known as a 4x4 with the stock set up b/c the car is high, so with a 2 inch drop its nice. i know h n R are good springs too. i went with sprints b/c alex from www.southwestautoworks.com has them pretty cheap. about $119.00 or 129.00so plus shipping. Good dEal and they are blue:eek: About shox, my shocks are okay still afer 5k and i drive this baby hard!!! I m waiting for agx to make shox for the maxima.. i wanted konis first but you have to do some cutting.. anyhow good luck:sun: Austin 07-13-2001, 02:42 PM where online sites have all springs available to sell? h&r in particular.... iansw 07-13-2001, 02:54 PM shox.com guaranttes the best prices on the 'net. Hey , can anyone give me a good place to buy front and rear strut bars ??? Oh, and that bar that goes under the car. I'm looking for a good price more that good looks. Those bars are all the same, there is nothing that could make a diffrence in performance (maybe weight, not even). Anyways. Bucktown 07-23-2001, 01:39 AM are your talking about sway bars? (the bar that goes under the car)? there are front and rear sways bars, just like front and rear strut tower bars. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
