I have a Dodge Neon 1999 with 92,000 miles.

The car has the following problem:

After driving my car for 10 minutes the temperature gauge indicates that the car is hot. I made sure the car has coolant and oil but this keeps happening. After 10 minutes, i turn off my car and I can hear the sound vapor coming out of the front of the car. I wonder if this has to do with the thermostat.

Is the radiator fan coming on when the temperature rises?

Check and see if the upper hose on the raidator is getting hot. If it is not then you need to change the T-stat.
