whats psi should i run on my stock rsjustinstalled 04-18-2005, 12:04 AM i dont know whats the max boost i should run on my acura rs i have changed the fuel regulator, injectors, and soon im going to change the fuel pump. cody_vg 04-18-2005, 12:30 AM on my crx i ran 10-12 on stock fuel pump and regulator, but when i tried to get higher it would cut out so i installed a fith injector in my intake piping that was activated by my throttle. but if i were you dont hit past 15. cody_vg 04-18-2005, 12:30 AM on my crx i ran 10-12 on stock fuel pump and regulator, but when i tried to get higher it would cut out so i installed a fith injector in my intake piping that was activated by my throttle. but if i were you dont hit past 15. kris 04-18-2005, 02:44 AM on my crx i ran 10-12 on stock fuel pump and regulator, but when i tried to get higher it would cut out so i installed a fith injector in my intake piping that was activated by my throttle. but if i were you dont hit past 15. :screwy: Seems kind of ghetto to me. Why not do it the right way? You need to tell us a lot more info on your setup than that, to give a guestimate on what to run. :disappoin civickiller 04-18-2005, 03:59 AM seems like bs to me 94DXSiR 04-18-2005, 03:59 PM Well, Im not sure how strong the engines are made for a RS, but honestly, Id say no more than 10 from what I have been reading as of late. Because you might be able to run higher than that, but I dont think your engine would last all that long. Making your fuel system better is one thing, but from everything I have read, you have to make your internals alot stronger if you want to run higher boost, though I could be wrong, Im just going off what I have been reading. superbluecivicsi 04-18-2005, 08:42 PM on my crx i ran 10-12 on stock fuel pump and regulator, but when i tried to get higher it would cut out so i installed a fith injector in my intake piping that was activated by my throttle. but if i were you dont hit past 15. i want to know how you hooked it up to the injector drivers. cody_vg 04-19-2005, 05:54 PM The Fith Injector Was Threaded Into The Intake Piping, Wired To A Switch And A Relay And Fed Fuel From A T Before The Fuel Rail Makes Complete Since To Me. boosted331 04-19-2005, 06:22 PM Have any pics of your magical 5 injector setup? boosted331 04-19-2005, 06:22 PM Have any pics of your magical 5 injector setup? There you go! superbluecivicsi 04-20-2005, 07:22 PM ive been to alot of speed shops and they know and understand this setup. its an easy way to add fuel when running boost. ok, no more laughing and more info. let me put my warface on :icon16: i hope your not trying to wire up a fifth injector like those turboed ford guys. did you know that in the past few years, their has been alot of new and great ways to add more fuel to your honda engine. on top of that, there has been even greater advances in actually controlling the fuel and timing on top of that. by using your fifth injector, how are you controlling that fifth injector in combination with your other four injectors? or are you just using the oem injector and randomly spraying within boost by flipping the switch on? hows it atomizing in the mani going into the cylinders and how effective is it really in feeding your cylinders the needed fuel? how do you know that fifth injector is bringing in the right amount of fuel? what injector sizes are you using? you must at least be using a wideband like the ford guys............right? i bet that thing guzzles gas like barney guzzles beer. did you know if you searched rc engineering's site, they have a great selection on different sized injectors that will give you all the amount of fuel you will ever need, and the great thing is, all you need are four injectors, and you can actually control them. i hope you dont forget to turn it on in boost or worse it never catches on fire. another thing about RC's injectors is that you can actually control it by using software such as hondata, uberdata, neptune, aem, etc....................yes, isnt that exciting :iceslolan you can actually control all the fuel and yes............even timing and plus much more througout every range in vacuum and boost. the even cool thing about it is that you..............the average shmo can make these changes. you know, it would be intereting if you posted some AFRs using that fifth injector. cody_vg 04-21-2005, 12:16 PM my engine doesnt need extra fuel unless im under boost, if I floor it the boost climbs and also with my throttle at wo the fith injector is activated, yes the injector automizes the fuel, your right about that i dont know if it getting the right amount fuel, but if it runs lean it will ping, better to run rich than lean. yes this is a cheap ass way of doing this but until i have the money it did work. When I rebuild my engine ill try doing it the right way, but its hard as hell to find parts for the 1st gen crx and integra. cody_vg 04-21-2005, 12:40 PM the injector doesnt pulse its a constant spray aznbmxxxer 04-21-2005, 02:06 PM i wouldn't push anything over 8 psi, i had a stock ls with the safcII and i recently took apart the engine since the motor blew, all 4 pistons were cracked and i was boosting 8psi on a t3 turbo. turboEKhatch 04-21-2005, 02:15 PM i wouldn't push anything over 8 psi, i had a stock ls with the safcII and i recently took apart the engine since the motor blew, all 4 pistons were cracked and i was boosting 8psi on a t3 turbo. You really don't know what you're doing with that SAFC then. I ran 14 pounds on a 57-trim for 20K + miles on a stock LS motor with hondata before it let go, and I ran it at 10 psi for about 8K miles with an SAFC with not a single problem. It's the tuner, not the car. Cody, give up the bullshit act. Your stock fuel pump would not push enough power to support even a stock greddy turbo at 15 psi, nevermind one at 30 psi, or 30 psi plus nitrous. You're an idiot, and nobody believes your lies but you. Now, to save face, you could just go on and create another user name and not make up such bullshit lies, but whatever floats your boat. cody_vg 04-21-2005, 02:57 PM criticshttp://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/5th_inj1 cody_vg 04-21-2005, 03:11 PM Skyline_BNR34 04-21-2005, 03:40 PM Cody you know you could have just got bigger injectors and not worry about a fifth one. It would have been easier to do then out another one on.... Skyline_BNR34 04-21-2005, 03:42 PM Whats the bottle for under the hood. Is that where you keep your nitrous...LOL...Or is it just for looks because thats the best looking part of the whole motor... Good job putting the injector there though, GOOD WORK... Skyline_BNR34 04-21-2005, 04:06 PM I didn't dought you I was jusy saying it was a bad IDEA.. :loser: cody_vg 04-21-2005, 04:39 PM and you have a skyline yaaaaaa huhhhhh..... Skyline_BNR34 04-21-2005, 04:47 PM Did I say I have a Skyline? superbluecivicsi 04-21-2005, 05:31 PM 94DXSiR 04-21-2005, 05:40 PM I hate to sound like a broken record Cody, but where are...YOUR...pictures of this setup you have, you got it, so show it, because I would like to see how this really looks, and on your car, not some minivan. We can edge him on by not believing him and asking for proof that hes obviously not going to give, a picture could just about shut everyone up, but if he wont do that, we have told him how, he seems to have a pic possibly since he asked how to post one. Lets just wait and see if what he says is BS, till then, I say ignore him till he has proof of this. boosted331 04-21-2005, 05:42 PM http://www.xmission.com/~dempsey/minivan/injector.htm And that's a factory turbo car that already has big primary injectors (nearly twice the size of yours) and a big fuel pump from the factory, as well as factory provisions to enrich it under additional boost. He uses that as an extra safety factor on top of his big primary injectors, not as the sole method of enrichment under boost, you clown. Polygon 04-21-2005, 06:45 PM Also, I personally know the guy that made that site. He has a Chrysler mini-van that runs 13s in the 1/4. He might have it faster by now. Anyhow, he knows what he is talking about. Boosted331 figured out exactly what he is doing. Most Turbo Dodge guys are just cheap. I would personally get bigger injectors to support more boost even if it were a little more that the factory fuel system can provide for. Anyhow, on a stock Honda engine I wouldn't run more than about 6-7 PSI non-intercooled and not over 10 PSI intercooled. cody_vg 04-22-2005, 01:00 AM im cheap, on mine I ran a sidemount intercooler from a nissan. let me guess you all want to see pic huh ?.. I surrender no more about my stupid injector... cody_vg 04-22-2005, 01:04 AM on your vehicle profile it lists 6 cars.. and on is a skyline dang you must be $$ RICHIE $$$ &&& RICH $$$$ 91civicDXdude 04-22-2005, 05:28 PM wow. first cody says he was running stock fuel pump and regulator but it was cutting out, so he added another injector.....If it was cutting out due to the fuel pump not being able to provide enough pressure, adding another injector would do *nothing* to relieve that problem. OH, so NOW he says he was running bigger injectors "that came with the turbs"... so how were you controlling those bigger injectors? you never mentioned ECU mods or an AFC, did you just wire them up to a switch too? moron. cody_vg 04-22-2005, 06:10 PM the injectors that came with the turbo took the place of the old ones, i had to cut off the connectors that clip on to the old ones besause the new ones used a quick connect connecter instead of the ones that has a clip superbluecivicsi 04-22-2005, 07:35 PM here ya go cody. some awesome links with info for you to drown in. http://uberdata.pgmfi.org/forum/ http://www.hondata.com/ http://www.boosted-hybrid.com/index.php?sid=919b490b05f3467c9ddd7d2c3706a99b http://home.mn.rr.com/keebler65/honda/ turboEKhatch 04-22-2005, 07:40 PM the injectors that came with the turbo took the place of the old ones, i had to cut off the connectors that clip on to the old ones besause the new ones used a quick connect connecter instead of the ones that has a clip Then why did you say you had stock injectors before, you fool. Besides, with bigger injectors and nothing to control them your car would neither run nor drive, nevermind running fine at 15 psi. Get out, clown. cody_vg 04-22-2005, 10:07 PM how gay is that why the hell wouldnt my ecu control my injectors? let me guess i need a leash... turboEKhatch 04-23-2005, 01:00 AM how gay is that why the hell wouldnt my ecu control my injectors? let me guess i need a leash... LOL, are you seriously this dumb? Lets say your stock ECU has 270CC injectors. You swap those out for 450CC injectors. If you didn't touch your ECU at all it's still opening those injectors assuming they're a 270CC/min injector. Guess what! 450's will add 60% more fuel being open for the same length of time as 270CC injectors. The computer sees fueling as the time an injector is open, in MS. What would be the appropriate pulsewidth to idle your sweet 85 CRX with a ZC motor and 270CC injectors at 14.7:1 AFR would become a 9.19:1 AFR at idle, and guess what, your motor isn't going to run at all idling at 9.19:1 AFR. Anybody who actually swapped in a ZC motor/ECU to their originally carb'ed would probably know that  cody_vg 04-23-2005, 02:30 AM what i understood the computer would adjuust itself, and running turbo its ok to be rich turboEKhatch 04-23-2005, 09:57 AM what i understood the computer would adjuust itself, and running turbo its ok to be rich  The computer does not adjust itself for larger injectors unless you tell it there's larger injectors in there. It still assumes there would be the tiny injectors in there and overload the motor. When you're boosting you want to be richer than a naturally aspirated motor, sure. But last time I checked you arn't boosting at idle. Your car would not hold an idle at a 9.18:1 A/F, it just wouldn't. It would sputter, die, and foul a set of plugs within 10 minutes of street driving. If you go to any real tuner, they all tune the car to around a 13:1 AFR before boost comes on, becaue you don't need to run rich before boost hits. From what I understand you don't own a turbo CRX, but maybe I'm wrong :cwm27: cody_vg 04-23-2005, 12:28 PM your wrong i do have a car but you are right about the car having trouble idling. i know youll dog on this but the only way i could get it to idle was advance the timing. i built the car for racing only so i didnt care that much about if it could idle in trafic. so come on and reply with another cocky comeback. turboEKhatch 04-23-2005, 01:54 PM your wrong i do have a car but you are right about the car having trouble idling. i know youll dog on this but the only way i could get it to idle was advance the timing. i built the car for racing only so i didnt care that much about if it could idle in trafic. so come on and reply with another cocky comeback. No, you're an idiot. Your car would not idle, would not RUN at a 9.18:1 air fuel ratio at idle. You would start the car, it would cough sputter and die. You could not do anything related to racing. You said earlier you're all stock computer and sensors and everything. Then it's "Oh, I have a 5th injector", and nobody believed that either. Then you come out with the "Bigger injectors and fuel pump on stock ECU, I swear", and just now you said "The ECU compensates for the bigger injectors", but if you had a car and had bigger injectors, and thought that the ECU compensated with bigger injectors, why after I let you know how knowledgeless you are you decided to say you had to advance the timing, but why would you have to do that if the ECU compensated automatically? So Cody, i'll say it again. Have any pictures of your whysmical 87/85/Whatever you feel like making up today CRX with your amazing 30 psi greddy turbo setup with nitrous? By the way, what kind of a nitrous kit are you running? What nitrous and fuel jets? I know you'll be able to send my pictures and tell me the jets you run, because you clearly own your internet bullshit mobile  SiGNAL748 04-23-2005, 03:01 PM i built the car for racing only. Then why do you still have a ZC? 94DXSiR 04-23-2005, 06:30 PM your wrong i do have a car but you are right about the car having trouble idling. i know youll dog on this but the only way i could get it to idle was advance the timing. i built the car for racing only so i didnt care that much about if it could idle in trafic. so come on and reply with another cocky comeback. Dude, because you change your stories everytime you post, it makes people not want to believe you because you cant seem to make up your minds on things and your methods are more than unorthodox. A small picture can change this all, Id like to believe you and Id more than like to see this setup on a turboed car, but without that it makes your story hard to believe at all. Polygon 04-23-2005, 07:44 PM Cody is right about one thing, a stock ECU does compensate. However, not to the degree he is talking about. For example, on my GTC the stock boost is 12 PSI. The stock ECU and fuel system will only provide enough fuel up to about 14.7 PSI. After that you need a larger fuel pump, plus 20 injectors or larger, and a new calibration for the ECU. So the ECU can sense small changes and compensate to a degree, and a very small one at that. Like they said Cody, your stock ECU will still think that the stock injectors are there and will only provide the fuel it was programmed to provide without a proper calibration. This will cause you to run lean, and probably lean enough to torch some pistons at higher boost levels. Now if you installed the fifth injector, that would help with this situation since it is not controlled by the ECU and it is not pulsing. However, that is assuming that your stock fuel pump were able to provide enough fuel, which it is not. TurboEKhatch is exactly right. It would be nice if the stock ECU would just magically adjust every time we made a modification so we wouldn't have to tune the car, there wouldn't be any guess work, and things would work perfectly. However, you need to wake up to the real world where manufactures don't like you doing things that could blow up your engine. I don't believe that you have done any of this and I don't believe that you're building this car to race. You might have a CRX but I am sure it is pretty stock based on your responses which tell me that you know very little of how a car works. cody_vg 04-23-2005, 11:51 PM see yall faggot ass bitches later thanks for the support and for telling me how everything i did was gay just like you.It must make you all feel good to try to be a cocky automotive professor. next time just do it for me.next time i rebuild my crx motor ill have your fat ass mom there to help me hold the car up.believe whatever the fuck u want i still think you posers r gay as fuck.u comp geeks have fun criticizing other peoples car when u dont know shit.u think u no everything but if some1 asked your geeky asses to do it would u,NO why because you guys r abunch of queres suckin each others small dicks and talkin shit on the internet.wen u people get this, let it run through your thick ass skulls how stupid u cocky bastards make yourselfs look.until then me and your fat ass mom will be working on my crx ,if i knew were u lived i would burn your house down then piss on the ashes:loser: u probably still need your mommys support cause u cant talk shit so shes there to help u with lame ass come backs. So any pics of this Rex yet? Just post the pic then maybe people will believe you, its as simple as that. But no, you want to run your mouth and make everyone just hate you. And its not the car that needs a ECU, its your engine that needs a ECU, and I do believe you said you have a ZC engine. I do believe the AEM Stand Alone is a universal application, expensive as hell though. Hondata is a very good one frome everything I hear and read about it, and Im surprised that with that Greddy Turbo you didnt get the Greddy EManage at least, though I could be wrong, but thats acording to last I checked those sites. But theres 3 of them. Obviously you dont know what your doing when you turbo your car, and if you would have went to a shop Im very sure they would have mentioned some sort of FMU or ECU for the turbo, every place I have gone to when I was doing my turbo research recomended at least one of the three I named earlier, mostly Hondata though. So instead of running your mouth for a change, take the 10 minutes to go by a disposable camera, snap a few pics, scan them somewhere, and post them here, on cardomain, where ever and go back to asking for information like you used to. And you mention the Greddy instructions not saying anything about anything to manage the injectors, but if you really had the greddy turbo kit wouldn't you miss that important thing known as the blue box, which dials back fuel so your car will run with the bigger injectors, and pull out some timing? And why did you change your story from "I have stock injectors" to "I have stock injectors plus a fifth injector!" to "I have greddy injectors that I installed with the kit!" And last I checked, Mom jokes/references became really gay once you checked out of grade 6, tool.
