Curious if anyone could help me. I have a 2002 grand am, and for some reason when i roll the windows up or down while driving it makes my rpms go up also if i have cruise on, and roll my window up or down it shuts the cruise off and I have to reset it. If anyone has had this problem or if anyone knows be a great help.

well the windows do put a drain on the electrical = lower rpm, but I'm not sure about why it would cause cruise to go off - maybe it's designed that way so you aren't rolling down your window while your car just drives itself.

Curiosity struck after reading this thread, SO i tried cruise on my 02 GT and opened and closed windows... cruise stayed on. If i had to guess the cruise control switch is probably going bad. My cruise was acting funny with the radio controls on mine at one point before i got it all replaced. If the car is still under warranty have the dealer take care of it....
