Weird problemjmeek29 04-16-2005, 06:10 PM Curious if anyone could help me. I have a 2002 grand am, and for some reason when i roll the windows up or down while driving it makes my rpms go up also if i have cruise on, and roll my window up or down it shuts the cruise off and I have to reset it. If anyone has had this problem or if anyone knows be a great help. 3.4grandam 04-16-2005, 06:14 PM my guess is u have wires crossed somewhere. thats the only thing i can think of. im not to sure on how to check for that tho but thats wat im thinkin is wrong Ridenour 04-16-2005, 07:00 PM well the windows do put a drain on the electrical = lower rpm, but I'm not sure about why it would cause cruise to go off - maybe it's designed that way so you aren't rolling down your window while your car just drives itself. jmeek29 04-17-2005, 12:33 PM yeah that is possible, they are adding new safety things everyday maybe its just part of that :( just annoying sometimes lol grfnkl 04-18-2005, 11:23 AM Curiosity struck after reading this thread, SO i tried cruise on my 02 GT and opened and closed windows... cruise stayed on. If i had to guess the cruise control switch is probably going bad. My cruise was acting funny with the radio controls on mine at one point before i got it all replaced. If the car is still under warranty have the dealer take care of it.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
