So my best friend let me drive his WRX...drftk1d 04-15-2005, 11:02 PM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTT TTT!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED IT! oh man. i was taking stuff off my motor to get it ready for the port job, i took off the turbo and i was like turbo turbo turbo turbo. i can't wait for the swap!. i NEED it. zomg like it hits and then whoosh your head goes back and the world stops moving zomg i need boost NOW. Right_LiRrr 04-16-2005, 03:22 AM I was that excited when I first floored my rex in 2nd gear. It was like: nope...nope....nope...*hits 3000rpm*...*head snaps back* WHOAH!! Mr. Luos 04-16-2005, 12:44 PM Great cars!!! I thought about getting one for a daily driver, but that didn't pan out. zomg like it hits and then whoosh your head goes back and the world stops moving zomg i need boost NOW. I like that feeling from 1,500 RPM's. :evillol: I got a thing for torque. Thourun 04-17-2005, 12:20 AM I just got my car running right tonight (plugs and wires were BADLY needed). The boost builds to full stock levels and I can now cut the tires loose no problem, can't wait to get a new downpipe and turn up the boost! drftk1d 04-17-2005, 06:18 PM I like that feeling from 1,500 RPM's. :evillol: I got a thing for torque. you wouldnt like a rotary engine car then. because they are torqueless at low rpms. -Josh- 04-18-2005, 12:04 PM Someone's as giddy as a school girl... Musashi3000GT 04-18-2005, 12:14 PM ^ no kidding, he sound like a crack junkie who just went cold turkey. I cant say I blame him though! Igovert500 04-18-2005, 06:35 PM I just got my car running right tonight (plugs and wires were BADLY needed). The boost builds to full stock levels and I can now cut the tires loose no problem, can't wait to get a new downpipe and turn up the boost! Thourun are you serious? At stock levels I think I chirped my tires once shifting to 2nd. I can dump the clutch on a turn and break loose. But in a straight line, NEVER, even dumping it at 6k. You might want to check your tires, as you shouldn't be able to do that. Thourun 04-18-2005, 11:01 PM Yea round little corners (couldent do it before), and one of my tires dosent hold much pressure, only about 25psi but that should be ok after I get the rims fixed... I'll probably need a new tire though since it looks slightly damaged where the rim is bent, nothing to worry about though and they're cheep proxies I think... brand new though. Igovert500 04-19-2005, 01:59 PM Yeah I generally run 38-30psi up front and 32-35 in the rear for normal driving. So 25 is definantly low and will wear down your tires significantly faster. I've had my fair share of bent and busted rims though...so I know how it is. chexmixa 04-19-2005, 04:10 PM Yeah I generally run 38-30psi up front and 32-35 in the rear for normal driving. At first when i was reading that i was like HOLY SH!T THATS ALOT OF BOOST HIS CAR IS FRIGGEN FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then i saw that you were talking about tires and i was like ohh. Right_LiRrr 04-19-2005, 10:35 PM At first when i was reading that i was like HOLY SH!T THATS ALOT OF BOOST HIS CAR IS FRIGGEN FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then i saw that you were talking about tires and i was like ohh. lol :1: drftk1d 04-19-2005, 11:18 PM lol Whumbachumba 04-23-2005, 11:09 PM That's got to be fun with all that boost. But, if you think that's fun, ride in my friends 2001 WRX Cobb Tuned coupe. Yep, that's right COBB TUNED. 1 of 16 made he said, which is more than likely true. Also, being certified by BMW to work on their cars and being able to drive really well helps. Right_LiRrr 04-23-2005, 11:20 PM That's got to be fun with all that boost. Also, being certified by BMW to work on their cars and being able to drive really well helps. I thought Subaru hasn't made a coupe since the early 90s?? Maybe it's different in the USA....but are you saying it's a MY2001 WRX tuned by Cobb? Because there is no MY01 Coupe WRX. Whumbachumba 04-23-2005, 11:31 PM All I know is that it is a 2001, which means it was produced in 2000, a coupe, and has the Cobb Tuned badge on it. drftk1d 04-24-2005, 01:03 PM might have been an impreza 2.5 or something. impreza's could have been coupes from its induction until the last year of production of the GC chassis, model year 2001. there was no wrx in the us until my02. Right_LiRrr 04-24-2005, 10:10 PM You know what's funny, we've had the WRX since the first ones i.e. 93ish. And when the 2.5L STi come out, do we get it? NO! There's gonna be a 2.5L WRX next year too, do we get it? NO! Grrr! lol drftk1d 04-25-2005, 07:31 PM not even japan has the 2,5L sti, so dont feel too bad. the 2.5 makes up for the US being WRX-less for 10 years Right_LiRrr 04-26-2005, 04:37 AM not even japan has the 2,5L sti, so dont feel too bad. the 2.5 makes up for the US being WRX-less for 10 years No, I feel sorry for YOU guys! :p Having a 2.5L STi is a lemon! It's not sticking to it's 2L rally roots! Then again, it's not like the STi sticks to the WRC car's specs, it has a TMIC instead of a FMIC like the WRC car :disappoin drftk1d 04-26-2005, 11:45 AM i like the evo better, meh. TatII 04-26-2005, 06:02 PM too bad the japanese 2.0 STi's are still faster then the 2.5 STi's. the j spec ones runs on average 12.6 in the 1/4 stock. and they handle better too. the spec C is hte fastest 2.0 in the world right now.
