nova ignitionMaStEr~X 04-11-2005, 08:54 PM I have a 1971 Nova automatic and the guy I bought it from had setup the ignition to start in reverse. More specifically, you have to switch into drive, turn the key, hold it turned, switch it into reverse with the key turned and it will start. Other than this being dangerous, it's beyond annoying and I want to change it back to the way it should be. I can't seem to find anyone that knows how to change it back. Anybody know? 72_supernova 04-12-2005, 10:46 PM All you should have to do is put in a new nuetral saftey switch which should be located at the bottom of your steering column. You could pick up a new one at many restoration sites fo raround 20 bucks. Also first make sure that all the wires are plugged in at the switch before replacing it.
