Well, most of my research and reading has lead me to believe that my little 325i can hold with and take the 3.0 put out by Audi. Now, I've always been a bit skeptical, but I'm more than willing to test the thoery out. Well, it looks like Im about to get my chance. I just spoke with a buddy o' mine back home, and his dad just got a lightly used Audi A4 3.0. Its a 2004, with 15k on the clock. According to my bud, its bone stock, and feels pretty quick. I started playing the "cant be that fast" card, and it didn't take me too long to get him to agree to a run. Its gonna be a while before hand, but I'm looking forward to it. Finally gonna get to see if I can start picking on anyone bigger than the Audi 1.8T.

Yeah, the 1.8Ts can be made pretty quick with a chip+little bit of work, but stock for stock, I can take one from a dig pretty good and can more than hold my own from a roll.

the 318ti was NOT a turbo .. merely a 138hp/133lb-ft 1.9L 4cyl.

I'd vote for the Audi in this race, not too familiar with BMW motors myself though .. may the best Euro win!

Or shoot yourself in the foot so you won't drive for a while. That way, it will give you time to recooperate from the loss. Not saying you will, but just giving you an option in the "what if" scenario :biggrin:. L8...

2002 turbo?

I didn't say BMW has never used a turbo in anything, but they are known to hate turbo lag and any kind of forced induction is conspicously lacking from their "sporty" modles like the M3/5 and the Z3/4.
