I have a 97 Taurus 3.0 v6. I think there may be a anti freeze leak coming from my freeze plug. 1 is this possible and how do I correct it. I have checked all hoses and around the water pump and thermostat and found nothing. Please help

You need to have system pressure tested to determine where the leak is coming from. If it is a freeze plug, yes you can replace it.

Way2old thank you for your reply to my post. I will have the systum pressure tested but the only place I see anti freeze is around the area where the freeze plug is. Not knowing much about engines I was woundering if it was possible for it to be coming from there. Thanks again

Yes it is possible. The plugs are replacable and it is not too hard of a job if they are easy to get to. Some people have reported good luck using the rubber expandable type. I use the metal replacement. Good luck.
