Hey guys, i've been over here for a little while yet, and i have noticed that there arent many of you guys with pics in your sigs.. so.. lets all post up some pics of our Trackers! i'll start with some of the one my grandpa and i just got.

we bought it as a project a couple weeks ago, he got it from my aunt for 500 bucks. it's a 96 1.6L Auto, it runs good, with 140k. the interior was destroyed when we got it, the top is in kindof rough shape, headlights didnt work, had some dents and dings.. but we're happy to have it. and have come along quite a ways on it all ready.

*in the 3 vehicle pic, thats my grandpa's 95 f150 and my 93 Camaro that are also pictured.

*also, if you dont know how to upload pics, PM me or message me on AIM (Kieft125) and i will be glad to tell you how.

im broke at this point.. i talked it over with my grandpa, he said he'd think about it.. we are in need of a new top, but we cant figure out how to get the current top completely off.. i know it folds down like the jeeps do, but how do i take it completely off? it was much easier to figure out on my 92 that i had.

there are 5 snaps across the front part that flips up , two around the interior light , and 4 snaps on the back bar above the back window

almost seemed like it was attached to the tailgate...

BTW.. post some pics of your ride

just take the windows out and undo the snaps and it will come right off , i dont even have my tracker anymore , the engine blew, then it set in my front yard covered with a tarp for 6 months , till i sold it for $200 bucks , been thinking about getting another one , was going to drop a 4.3 into mine but didnt have the cash at the time

figured out my problem... i can take evrything off, but the bottom of the back seems to be intact to the tailgate, im sure you have to prolly open it to get the top off, but in my case the tailgate is broken and we cant get it open.. im sure after we get that fixed everything will be good to go..

*on a side note, we are storing it in the garage with the top down for awhile.. we dont really need the top at this point, but if sometime in the near future we do decide to buy, i will PM you if you still have it.

here are a couple of pictures of my tracker at Silver Lake sand dunes. In case you were wondering what kind of tires i have, which i like other people to post, so i can compare and i often wander what they are.

They are Liberators, 25/75 r 15
They were a good tire, ended up cutting the side wall though, and they suck in the winter, so i went back to street tires, and regreted every minute of it.

if its a 4x4 put some agressive tires on it. oh and the liberators are cheep, have a nice profile, great off road, but they suck in the winter.

See ya

my grandpa picked em up.. i think he got em at Auto Zone

*also, i believe they're just generic seatcovers, not really meant for a Tracker, but they seem to do the job in covering the nasty old seats.. lol

Not the best pic - it was taken on a very cloudy day using my phone camera (Motorola V551) which takes pics with file size small enuff to post here w/o editing. The hard part is using the data cable to get pics off the phone & onto computer. Yep, that is my parked F150 in the background.

Here is what our '93 Geo Tracker looked like - my wife's beloved "Bubbles"....

http://img364.imageshack.us/img364/5167/trackersideview4oe.jpg

Here is what it looks like now after some woman ran a stop sign and appeared
in front of my wife when she was doing 45 on the freeway.

You can't have a nice automobile that someone doesn't destroy it for you.....

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii319/chevyman15004x4/IMAG0021.jpg

This was my first vehicle when I got my drivers licesense almost 8 years ago. A 4x4 susuki sidekick Geo Tracker with a 1.6 tbi engine and 5 speed manual tranny power steering, AC, power mirrors, and a Hard top. My parents bought it for $4,000 in 2000. I used to think it was a girls car when we first got it but didn't complain cause at least I wasn't walking . As time whent on, It ended up being a great offroad vehicle on 4x4 trails, Great for pulling trailers with the 5:20 rear end, actually has a working AC unit.

I have put this jeep through everything. I first rolled it 4 months after I got my license. So I bought another trashed one with a good body and swaped the body. The entire driveline was still good on mine. I Bought all the power steering parts of a wrecked one and installed it on mine. Mine did not come with power steering.
We usually take it up to the colorado mountins to south fork where pogosa springs and platoro are located. They have many off road jeep trails up there. Then we also go to new mexico to redriver and do some 4x4ing up there to goose lake and other passes.(if anyone is familer with it.) This jeep has been rolled, jumped, flooded and ragged out since we bought it. Been rearended twice but that massive hitch and reciver I put on (the hitch is on my truck right now so its not in the pic) saved the bumper and tailgate. It has held up very well over the PAST 8 YEARS with 4x4 still working and getting 28 mpg. Starts every time with no troubble and has just cleared 100,000 miles. Oh ya, and NO RUST. Out here they don't use that much salt during the winter to keep the roads from icing and it doesn't rain much in the summer and where not close to the coast with salt mist so our vehicles last along time out here body wise.

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii319/chevyman15004x4/IMAG0020.jpg

This I the custom hitch I welded up to support the bigger trailers that I used to pull while doing lawn care and hauling trees and junk. It was usually a tandome axle 18 foot heavy duty flat bed with sides. Trailer weighed about 2,000 lbs alone.

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii319/chevyman15004x4/IMAG0024.jpg

This picture is just a size comparrison from my Ford Mega Cab dually that I usually drive. But since diesel has got so high, I decided to go back to my jeep for awhile. It kinda scares me how small it is though. Just takes a mistake from someone whoes not paying attention to land you in the hospital just like the one posted above. Thats the main reason I went to driveing Pickups.
