ive got 93 shadow and its been sitting in the driveway for quite some time and the rotors are rusted. Is there any way to clean them other than machining.

Try a fine grain sandpaper. Maybe emery cloth. Slight corrosion shouldn't be a problem. You might want to ask an expert. Don't drive the vehicle if you're unsure of brake performance.
