1pc or 2pc Header?Xcelon 04-01-2002, 06:49 PM I'm just wondering if anyone knows which is better, 1pc or 2pc headers? 00GSR 04-01-2002, 07:45 PM You have a 90' LS correct? If so, I don't think you can get a 1 piece header for your car. I have only seen them for the G3 Tegs... As for which is better, there really is not a major difference. They have the same overall design, but the 1-piece has a smoother look (no middle connection point) and weighs a little less. The two piece design has been known to have some cracking problems at the connection point though. It is not all that often, but that was one of the reasons to design a 1-piece header. 90CRXZCSi 04-01-2002, 08:53 PM they say the 4-2-1 gets better flow than just a straight 4-1. But for an integra...i believe 4-2-1 would be the way to go. ;) Xcelon 04-02-2002, 01:07 AM Yeah, the more I've been looking I've realized that the one piece is only made for 3gen integras. Thanks for the info though. AznDragon 04-02-2002, 02:28 AM is there any difference in the installation difficulty for a 4-1 or a 4-2-1? 1 or 2 pc? 97teg 04-02-2002, 10:36 AM the 2 piece is obviously easier to install since you can put it on one piece at a time. I think the difference between the 2 is ground clearance. the 1 piece is supposed to hang lower but be lighter since it doesnt have the flanges to connect the two together. 00GSR 04-02-2002, 02:44 PM Originally posted by 97teg I think the difference between the 2 is ground clearance. the 1 piece is supposed to hang lower but be lighter since it doesnt have the flanges to connect the two together. I believe they hang the same. It is the 4-1 which hangs lower. AznDragon 04-03-2002, 12:29 AM so which would you recommend for a 97 gs-r that isn't a racer? 00GSR 04-03-2002, 12:43 AM Originally posted by AznDragon so which would you recommend for a 97 gs-r that isn't a racer? If you are not going to be driving it hard at all, might as well go with the 4-2-1 so you can get some extra low-mid range power to lug around your stereo. 4-1 is for power over 4k, not needed for crusin  vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
