I recently ran two bottles of Amsoil's Performance Improver through my truck for the initial treatment on a 1999 blazer 4.3L(w) with 160,000 miles to clean the injectors. After the initial treatment, coupled with a 2 oz dose every tank full, I have successfully got 24 mpg on the highway with a straight 70mph. The idle is almost but not quite so smooth that you can't tell it's running except for the tach.....and pickup has improved as well..... I think this is a good product and wanted to share with you... Found it at Mills Fleet Farm and it's about $7.00 per bottle.... I was getting a routine 19-21 mpg which is good, but I am trying to do everything I can to milk out MPG's since gas just jumpted to 2.25/gallon here in western wisconsin..... Any FYI ..... I know this from experience. Also, don't substitute this treatment for doing your routine maintanence and tuneup work. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
